As an abstract artist, Charlie's creative practice uses shape, color, texture, sound and movement to translate inner landscapes, emotion and lived experience.
Driven by an interest in the innate creative language of communities and individuals, Charlie's visual language responds to the unique emotional history of a place or person.
Personally experiencing the world through the unique Autistic, Queer and disabled lenses; their artistic research examines the intersection of art, culture, and identity to understand how creative permission can amplify marginalized voices and create inclusive spaces.
While currently focused on paint and canvas, they are exploring the development of mixed media work, larger-scale installations and immersive experiences.
In their therapeutic and facilitation work, Charlie offers a unique and heart-centered approach to self-exploration. Guiding participants on creative journeys of self-discovery, fostering deeper connections to self and others.
Holding qualifications in Art Therapy, Life Coaching, Counselling, and Education, they believe that language isn't the sole conduit for understanding for most, but specifically for ND, disabled and queer folk.
By prioritizing the 'art of being' and embracing 'awkward creativity,' Morgan Charlie's workshops and programs create bridges to inner exploration and healing. This approach emphasizes spontaneous creation and somatic awareness, encouraging childlike wonder and authentic self-expression.
